Hi guys, I'm Madacho, lvl 60 night elf druid.
I am a very active player, more so that I am on summer break, and i currently have 7/8 Wildheart with the Argent Crusader as my main weapon. No epics yet, but that story will be told here:
My current guild is Nevermind, most of you may have heard of how we split into Nvm and Nevermind, and how the loot-greedy people went to NvM and "everyone else" went to Nevermind. Well, compared to others, I wasn't good enough to go on to NvM so i stayed at Nevermind. I've been with them since my level 20s, and I've contributed much to them and did a lot to help the guild. Recently I got a promotion to officer.
However, I was at a summer camp for 3 weeks and I come back to find I am demoted and about 7 druids were added to the guild. I was confused why I was demoted, and all the answer I got was really "you were gone for three weeks."
I was astonished at how this could happen, I was simply away for three weeks. And now that there are about 8 druids in every MC run, I literally have almost no chance to win anything.
Now a disgraced, dishonored member of Nevermind, I am now looking for a new guild who runs MC etc... regularly and understands things like camps, and as far as I've heard, this place is the one.
Like I said above, in lvl 20s when i first joined Nevermind, i met a good friend Antigravity in Ashenvale. Since then we've been close friends, and he gave me his word he would pass good things about me to the Cadre.
However, the emotional battle about leaving my one guild is still bothering me, so as much as I want to join the Cadre, I can't help but feel feelings of regret.
But iI still submit an application wishing to know taht if i choose to leave, I'll have open arms accepting me elsewhere.
Thank you,
-Madacho

I highly recommend madacho to be added to the guild because of his skill as a player and the fact that madacho considers his guild more than just a means for getting gear
Ive known madacho since my noob days in ashenvale doing quests and we've been friends ever since
We've been low on druids on a few of the runs lately as well and it couldn't hurt to have another in the guild

Honestly, if you're not happy in the guild you're in, you shouldn't feel too bad about leaving them. I'm not just saying that specifically about Nevermind, just a generalization. A guild is supposed to help you have fun, not keep you from it. If you're actually interested, group with some other Cadre members to do random stuff for a while, and if it seems to work out better for you than your current guild, them PM Zorak your application as per the instructions stickied in this forum.
P.S. Anti recommending you counts as a minus :D Just like if you were friends with Swiftkill.

heh
about Zoram, i already pmed him the day i posted this.
and... the thing is about my reluctance to leave, is that Nevermind has been my guild since basically the start of the game, and many of my RL friends and people I've known for a long time are there.
I'm sure I'll meet new people in the Cadre, but its like someone tearing you away from all the friends here to join another new guild, you get my meaning?
But I'll probably switch, even though I may have regrets. I counted 8 active lvl 60 druids, and that is way too many for me.
I'll think about it for another week maybe, and I'll make my decision.
I just want to know if I'll be accepted if I choose to go here.
And also, about grouping with The Cadre, I'd love to do UBRS for my WH vest, HU strat for Hammer of the Grand Crusader, DM Ogre Tribute for Rod of the Ogre Magi, or DM Plant for Living Essences.
Anti 4tehw!

Hey Madacho,
I understand your reluctivness to leave a guild that you 'grew up with' I did the same thing when moving games from Everquest. Alot of My EQ friends went to a different server but I had already leveled a character on Arthas. CQ is friends and family; we do what we do for the company and the enjoyment. If your main reason for leaving Nevermind is because there are to many druids, you may want to rething it, but if you're really unhappy I'm sure we'd be happy to have you aboard.

too many druids is just one reason i want to leave though, but another reason is that I've contributed so much and been in the guild so long, yet being at a camp for 3 weeks caused a demotion, loss of respect, and generaly most of the guild leaders hating me. I'm not sure how 3 weeks of absence casued this, but if a guild hates me basically becasue of that im not sure i belong in it anymore. of course, there are some people im friends with in the guild, but i dont think its worht it just staying there because of them.
and one last thing, is the feeling that as soon as i leave and join the Cadre, nevermind takes down ragnaros or kills the first boss in BWL or something that makes e guilty of leaveing. Of course, ill stay in the Cadre, but that feelign will bag at me for a long time.
Ill make my decision soon, i just want to know if ill be accepted or not
btw, UBRS, hu strat, Dm plant, and Dm ogre tribute are some things id like to do with the Cadre =D

Well I'd say any kind of disrespect your getting would be worth leaving. And if you've got friends you don't want to leave behind then invite them to come along! :D You, however, would have no reason to feel guilty if you leave and Nevermind takes down Ragnaros or a BWL boss. You've made it clear that you don't think they need your help to tackle bosses; however, if this 'guilt' your thinking of is really fear of missing out on loots then I'd say you're probably looking at the wrong guild.

im not looking at the loot part of this scenario, its just again the fact that ive been in this guild so long, it makes me sad that it has gotten this bad and has caused me to want to leave.
All i've heard from antigravity makes this guild sound very good, and 8/8 MC bosses sounds appealing to me as well.
I'm sure that if im accepted here that i'll be taken in in a way nevermind could never achieve.
i'd love to group with some of the Cadre, just pm Madacho, or i can just /who cadre and look u guys up

Wow, Destrar, getting kinda defensive when there's only like 4 Druids max who go with us... not like the 100 Hunters we have. ^_~
Sorry to hear you got tossed around so badly by your guild, Madacho.

It means that people are running their mouth, like always. That's rather common around here, just like veering completely offtopic multiple times during any single thread. Threads constantly get hijacked.
I think the question is more if you're actually wanting to leave your old guild and join us or not. That seemed to be more of the issue, not whether or not we need another druid.
And I think we have.. 5?6? druids between CQ and IC. And not every one of them makes every run.

aye, off topic rants and derails are very common
and ya, if you pledge and Anti (member) vouches/sponsors you there should be minimal problems ;)

you cannot just get accepted "bam." there is an indefinate probationary period while we decide if you are worthy cadre material. during much of that time, you may be tagged cadre, but are not ACTUALLY cadre.

Which means you don't get access to the secret forums nor learn the secret hand shake but you can bash on Swift.

Derailing of topics is a time honored tradition. Almost as time honored as Swift-Bashing. However, I'm just blowing steam for the fun of it. All classes are welcome, especially rogues and hunters. We can't get enough of them...oh, and Paladins. We need more of each on every run.

ya, we dont have a ton of druids yet especially, so there wouldn't be much problem taking you, especially because im confident that you have what it takes :)
if you're willing to drop your old ties and make some new ones with us, i dont see any reason why you wont get in :)

it is, however, required that you drop your old guild before we take you seriously =P
